beamerball

If this video didn't get you pumped up, I don't know WHAT will. Yes, college football started tonight but the REAL DEAL starts on Saturday at 12:30 when the Hokies plays Appalachian State here in Blacksburg.

I don't think it's even totally hit me that football season is just hours away. It is so hard to believe that it's been a whole year since VT played Boise State up at FedEx Field for the season opener. I went home for the weekend, and James and I went to the game!

There is so much spirit and tradition involved in Virginia Tech Football. Here are just a few of the many things I am looking forward to this weekend:

1. Tailgating with the Johnsons early in the morning (we're getting chick-fil-a chicken minis!)
2. Sporting every piece of maroon and orange I own.
3. Jumping to Enter Sandman as the team runs onto the field for the first time.
4. Standing the entire game...no matter what.
5. Eating (or watching people eat) turkey legs in the stands.
6. Doing the Hokie Pokie in between 3rd and 4th quarter.
7. Hokies Respect.
8. Rushing the field when the Hokies bring home a victory!
