goggles, kick boards, and bubbles

Now that summer is almost in full swing (due to Fairfax County schools being released super late), the number of  private swim lessons I teach each week keeps growing and growing. Teaching 4-7 year olds how to swim is probably the best job I have ever had. I love playing with kids, being in the water, and watching them progress as the summer(s) go on...and I can't complain about the $20 stipend for each .5 hour lesson either.

Although I will only be home for two and a half more weeks before heading down to Blacksburg for Orientation (YAY!), I plan to pack as many swim lessons in as I possibly can. And of course I will be back for a few more in early-August. Let the good times roll (or swim)!

  1. I used to be a swim coach, and private lessons were always my favorite! Sometimes they were a challenge, but I loved working on swimming skills with the older kids. The best lesson was one where we worked on flip turns the whole time!
