pour some sugar on me

On Saturday, Julie, Shannon, and I headed down to Charlotte, NC for the ACC Championship to watch the Hokies take on the Clemson Tigers. I had never been to Charlotte or an ACC Championship before, so we grabbed some friends and went on a road trip. We had a great time tailgating and being there for the game. 

However, we didn't exactly play our best which resulted in a loss for the Hokies with a final score of 38-10. Initially, we were all really bummed and disappointed as we piled back in the car for the 3 hour drive home. It's so sad to see the Hokies lose, especially to a team we already lost to earlier in the season. 

The good news, however, didn't come until last night when the BCS Bowl Games were announced. Since we lost the ACC Championship, that meant Clemson was going to the Orange Bowl. And we all pretty much assumed we were going to go to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl again. 

Then we started hearing some buzz going around about how Virginia Tech was seated to play Michigan in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! KJ and I turned on ESPN at 8:15pm to hear the official results, and the rumors were true. We are going to the SUGAR BOWL!!!!
